A story written by the Tuesday Me and My Pen group

On Saturday 15th July a traffic warden was surprised to find a strange vehicle parked on a double yellow line. He said he checked for a Blue Badge, but couldn’t see one so he issued a parking ticket.
He returned Tuesday morning to see the vehicle still there so he phoned for the tow truck.
When the tow truck arrived the vehicle disappeared into thin air with a flash, just like a star exploding.
The Story So Far;
When the time machine disappeared it went back in time, through the Stargate to London 1936. It landed in the Tower of London at midnight, it landed with a bang and Dale, who was on board broke his right leg.
He wanted to steal the Crown Jewels, but there were a lot of guards. So he disguised himself as a Beefeater, so he could steal the Crown Jewels without anyone noticing.
Dale’s friend, the Prime Minister, Theresa, had given him the secret code to switch off the alarm and open the glass cabinet where the jewels were displayed.
But the alarm went off so Dale had to escape with the jewels by jumping off the Tower with a parachute, he landed in the Thames.
With a ‘whoosh’ the timeline opened and the time machines disappeared into thin air with Dale on board. It reappeared in Berlin in 1992, by the Brandenburg Gate.
It landed with a bang, again, and this time Dale banged his nose on the control panel. He felt dizzy and confused and forgot where he was and what he was doing.
After a few minutes he remembered the voice of Mr ‘X’ telling him to steal the painting.
Dale looked at the map to find the museum. When he got there it was closed so he had to pick the lock to get in. It was cold, dark and creepy and Dale needed his lighter to see the alarm code tattooed on his arm. Angela Merkel had given him the code.
He walked quietly through the museum until he found the painting. It was a very famous painting hanging on the wall in the main gallery. He took it down and put the painting in a black bin bag and ran. He escaped through the roof, he pulled out a gun that looked like a flare gun and fired the rope which hooked onto the roof and he pulled himself up.
The time machine reappeared in Red Square in 1976. It landed with a bang, again, this time Dale hurt his back.
When he looked up he saw he was surrounded by 400 armed guards, all with their guns pointing at his heart. But Dale was wearing a bulletproof vest. He escaped using his special self-defence, climbed the Kremlin wall using a rope ladder.
Dale crept into the Cathedral inside the Kremlin and stole the Russian Dolls kept in the glass cabinet. He escaped through the secret passage leading back to the Red Square.
When Dale landed in Istanbul in 1870 he could not find the citadel so he contacted Mr X using his walkie-talkie watch. Mr X gave him directions, the Citadel was closed to the public so Dale had to show fake papers and the guard let him in.
Once inside Dale located the safe where the silver one thousand year old Dow was kept. He opened the safe using the combination Mr X had given him. He put the Dow in a bag, closed the safe and the alarm went off. Dale panicked and crept out slowly. He hid behind a curtain that covered a gap in the wall and when no one was around he escaped to the time machine.
The time machine reappeared again in 1959 in Egypt on the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This time Dale banged his arm, he is very accident prone. When he recovered from the shock he tried to get down from the Pyramid. Dale fastened the harness and abseiled down the Pyramid. He needed to get to Cairo Museum so he stole a camel, climbed on board and used his invisible watch with the built in satellite guidance system to find the museum.
When he arrived the museum was closed, he picked the lock and put in the code Mr Nasr had given to Mr X, who had also given him the combination to the safe. The safe was underground and the real gold mask of Tutankhamun was kept inside.
Dale substituted the real mask for a fake one and got away before anyone knew what had happened.
The time machine landed on Saturday June 14th 1967 outside the Louvre Art Museum. Dale broke the glass pyramid by cutting the glass and lowered himself using a rope. He need to avoid the laser alarm and the floor pressure alarm. Dale was dangling upside down and managed to lift the Mona Lisa off the wall in the main gallery.
Dale used his I Pad to control the alarm system to turn it off and escaped through the roof the way he came in.
He got back in the time machine, and reappeared in Madrid in 1966.
Dale soon realised he was in the wrong place, he needed to go to Barcelona. So he went to the airport, stole a helicopter and flew to Barcelona. He broke into the Picasso Museum and stole the painting of the Girl with a Ponytail. It was worth 10 million Euros.
He took all the things he had stolen to Mr X who was living at a secret location in Berlin under the alias of Mr Flich.
Mr X transferred £170,000,000 into Dale’s Jersey bank account.
Dale retired to Hawaii and Mr X held the world to ransom.
