- World Down Syndrome Day raising money for Torbay Mencap
- Made a sculpture for the Teignmouth Sculpture Trail
Sleep Walk
Gemma, Clare, Zena, Elizabeth, Tash, Jacqui and Jenny did 5 miles for the Rowcroft Sleep Walk we dressed as screen characters, some where pink Ladies and Elizabeth was John Wayne. We enjoyed ourselves but we were tired we had lovely views as we walked, ate popcorn, bacon sandwiches and drank a glass of wine. We raised money for Rowcroft Hospice
Jubilee Cream tea
Co-ordin8 students celebrated the Jubilee by putting on a cream tea. We did loads of baking and decorating the hall. Some students came in early and helped out and made sandwiches and set the tables. We had lots of visitors and all had a good time.
Helen Brinicombe Award
Gemma F. was nominated for her help at Co-ordin8, she helps other students and helps out once a week with the Covid cleaning. Thank You Gemma. She runner up and received a certificate from Carol ,Torbay Mencap Chair, at St Mathias Jubilee Concert Evening.
Summer Programme
For 3 weeks in August we did different things; we wrote a story and made an animated film, we tried new crafts, went on outings to the museums, the beach hut and to darts. We also had fun doing Mini Olympics and archery( we have all done really well at archery), but best of all was a pampering day.
Here are some student comments on the year;
Ian: I enjoyed the Christmas Fayre the most, I likes seeing Father Christmas and helping to sort out all the DVDs and CDs.
Martin: liked helping with the Tombola.
Gemma and Clare: We all enjoyed the Sleep Walk.
Caroline: enjoyed the Summer Fayre and selling raffle tickets.
Bridget and Cathy: enjoyed the Cream Tea and helping to bake the cakes.
Sarah, Sue, Dawn and Grace: enjoyed the Summer Fayre.
Zena: loved the film making, the Sleep Walk and the Dancathon.
